I currently work within the sales department. My daily tasks consist of creating and issuing quotations to customers. I am very involved with customers in my day to day tasks as I have to email them every day and sometimes participate in live meetings.
Throughout my time I have learned a range of new skills, not only about the product but also about the commercial side of the business.
I'm really enjoying working with the sales team, everyone is willing to help and they also try to get you involved as much as possible, this overall makes the working experience much more enjoyable.
I feel Siemens value there apprentices greatly as they are potentially the future of the business, the company show great recognition for the progress made by apprentices and try to get them evolved as much as possible to create a better working experience.
I feel as though the training program is well structured and caters for a wide range off people by allowing for you to try out different parts of the business, this enables you to find where's best for you! to start off you are supported a lot by your mentors but as you get into the later years off the apprenticeship you become more independent from which you have to organize reviews with them.
I receive as much support as I need, not only from the training provided but also from my colleagues. if you require further support than others they are more than willing to do so.
I revive as much support as I need, everyone is willing to help but there are also many ways to resolve problems through tools on the intranet.
I think the salary works well with my living costs. I have been able to do many things such as travel, learn to drive, buy a car and quite easily do all the things that i want to do.
There are many opportunities outside of work, I played in the Siemens football tournament last year and have just recently started training for this years tournament.
Yes
Because I really enjoy what I do and think its a great way to start your career, I also think that my friends would enjoy it as most of them study engineering.
Be confident and sell yourself to the employer. also having knowledge about the company before going into interviews with help greatly.
