I helped assist trainee solicitors by completing some research into clients and into legal procedures which may have been in place. I accompanied a trainee to the sheriff court and court of session to deliver caviats. Alongside this I attended workshops which helped support me in my next steps
I have helped develop my communication skills in order to ensure that I understood what I was doing which also developing my timekeeping skills to ensure I completed tasks to a timely manner
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience as it provided me with a great insight into the legal profession, I was also treated as a valuable member of the team and made to feel appreciated.
I was valued member of the team and was issued with takes of importance which tested my intelligence instead of just general admin. I was given valuable feedback on these tasks and therefore made to feel appreciated.
The programme was very well structured and organised meaning that I was always aware where I was to be and what I was to be doing. The programme was not too work heavy due to the workshops therefore making it a balanced experience.
I was able to easily contact my supervisor in order to gain any support I needed to complete tasks, all other members of staff were also very approachable and friendly.
I was advised of telephone and emails I could contact if there was any issues, I was also emailed regularly in order for them to check all was well.
My travel expenses were paid by an outside project and the lunch vouchers were good as they provided me with an adequate amount of finance whilst also the chance to choose what to eat.
None which I partook in, but employees seem to have regular social activites which I would get involved in if I was a permanent employee
Yes
Everyone at the company is friendly and approachable alongside always being happy to help, I was treated as a valuable member of the team and was made to feel appreciated.
Don't be afraid to ask for help if you are struggling with task and always ask questions. Get involved with the programme as fully as you can and enjoy yourself.
