Personal Tax Assistant includes the preparation of personal tax returns and having an interactive responsibility with my own client allocation. I am responsible for dealing with my clients personal tax queries, speaking with HMRC on their behalf, P11D and yearly tax returns.
I am training towards my ATT Qualification and will then go on to CTA. I have also developed practical skills as part of my apprenticeship including correspondence, teamwork and responsibility. We have been able to go on internal training courses nationally, including team working activities with other offices.
I enjoy working within a business environment and working within a team. My expectations have been exceeded as within my first year of the apprenticeship I already have a hands on role with my own client allocation
RSM are a very supportive firm and will meet your needs, they have been very supportive so far through out my apprenticeship.
The inductions are well organized and informative, they internal courses are a great way to meet other apprentices in the same position as you. The external training qualifications are run externally through the top training providers.
I train externally through BPP, they have regular meetings with me to track my progress and have a good online support network. All my training is done online which offers a flexible training scheme. This is very accessible and easy to use. This is enjoyable although can be difficult to engage in questions, I also miss the opportunity to meet other students from other firms.
I have lots of support meetings from different people within RSM; HR, My line manager, my exam training manager. There is a large support network.
The Salary is competitive and easily covers day to day costs. RSM will also reimburse any additional costs incurred which directly relate to work.
RSM are involved with a lot of corporate events and are well linked within the community. This gives employees a great opportunity to network with other corporate entities.
Yes
They are a good company to work for and offer lots of training support.
Job related work experience is always good to have, most firms will allow students to work on placements but a lot of students don't. Be confident.
