i have learnt alot of new skills from beginning the job. I had some electrical and mechanical experience before starting but this job has made me a far better technician
i have wanted to work for eDF for many years, I enjoy very much working at the power station and felt like i have bonded very well with my team over the past 2 years
i feel very valued. The team leaders and managers listen to my ideas regarding jobs. and although i have only been here for 2 years i do have some experience which other technicians really take on board
it is planned very well with 2 years down in portsmouth training and studying on basic skills and them when returning to station putting those skills in to practice
we have many different training providers and they are always happy to answer any questions or queries ive had over the past 2 years. There knowledge and experience is very helpful
the co ordinator is very helpful. he has had many years experience at the station and will answer any question that i have for them. If he is ever unsure he will find it out
the pay increases over the 4 years. For our first two years food, accommodation and travel are all paid for aswell as being paid. When qualifying the pay increases again

Is is a job for life. The pay is very good and you will learn alot of good skills that are transferable if you didnt want to stay at the station for the future
