My Job title was Business Advisor. I took inbound telephony calls for business customers at Lloyds Banking Group. To do the role I had to have a wide knowledge of what my employer offered in terms of products and services.
I had never worked with business or bank accounts before. This role showed me the basic level requirements for an advisor role.
I liked my programme. My assessor was very accommodating when I needed assistance and so was my work place in terms of getting times off of the phones etc.
I feel very valued. I have been here two years and so far I have already gotten to a Grade C position in which I feel my skills are better put to use.
My programme was organised/structured well. I knew what I had to do and how to get there and what was happening next.
I received lots of support when I needed it. I didn't find the course overly hard but when I did need help it was there.
I was given the support I needed. Being in a telephony environment it was great that my managers could get me off the phone to accommodate my meetings with my assessor.
The package meets my costs well. Travel is not an issue when coming to work and neither is location. My work is 20 minutes away on the bus.
There are opportunities out of work. Day to make a difference is charity work we do once a year out of business which is great fun and an opportunity to give back to the community.

I feel comfortable working for LBG and feel like I am given the time and attention to grow my professional skills to get to a position I want to be in my career.
Preparation is important when coming to a new role or starting for the first time in LBG. It is important to prepare well by showing evidence of what you have done in the past i.e. results.
