My role with Global Transaction Compliance is a AML Assessor. I investigate customer accounts that have had a Suspicious Activity Report raised and if appropriate sent a report to the NCA.
I have learned new skills relating to analysing and reporting data which is relevant to my current role. It has also help with my understanding of storing and reporting data, and solving business problems.
I enjoyed the programme and found and some sections extremely relevant to my role and learnt new skills that helped me develop. Some of the sections I felt duplicated parts that already completed in other sections.
I feel valued within my team at Lloyds Banking and my line manger acknowledges my good performance. Sometimes within the wider bank I don’t feel valued.
The programme was fairly well structured. My first assessor was new to the role and things progressed a little slowly initially, however, my assessor was changed and things progressed at a much better pace.
was happy working thorough the apprenticeship on my own. For the few occasions I required help my assessor was externally helpful and easy to get in touch with to provide me with guidance.
My employer gave me adequate support. For the most part I worked on my apprenticeship on my own time however my employer allowed the assessor monthly visits. I also used my personal development hour to work on my apprenticeship.
I feel my salary package could be better. My current salary is less than the industry average for my role.
Not sure what opportunities the question is referring to but if it means employments opportunities then yes there are. The department I currently work in has seen a high volume of attrition of staff to other banks due to a much higher salary being offered for the same role.
Yes
I personally enjoy my role and find the day to day investigations very interesting. For the most part I find LBG to be a good employer that is allowing me to develop new skills.
If the role is an apprenticeship I would encourage some to apply. You learn new skills and have a chance to further develop existing ones. The workload is manageable if the keep on top it and try to work on the apprenticeship a couple of hours per week.
