I am in the Marketing communications team and focus on the Product communications that our customers receive. The main brand I do this for is Scottish Widows.
I have learnt how to be more confident and speak out if I think I have an idea or query. I learnt that no question is a bad question. I have improved my organisation skills and now can prioritise my workload to meet deadlines.
I have really enjoyed my programme as I have been able to gain hands on experience of producing campaigns for a established bank and by doing this and showcasing my work have been able to achieve a qualification.
I feel very valued. I am an colleague just like any other worker, I get to do all the Groups benefits and attend all the workshops and conferences which has made me feel proud and valued to work here.
My programme is very organised and structured. from the outset I was given key dates for sessions with my assessor and sessions with the group to gain essential foundation training.
I received lots of support from my provider, especially in the crucial moments when I was struggling with assignments. They were always there for help and support and I gained a lot of underpinning knowledge from them.
I receive so much support from my employer, and they've made me feel so welcomed and supported throughout the whole programme and after I graduated they are still on hand to help me with anything I need.
it exceeds my cost. I get paid the same as any other colleague which makes me feel valued and proves that LBG know I can do the same work as everyone else.
There are so many opportunities outside of work. For example, I am an ambassador for the apprentices and attend events to promote the schemes.
Yes
I recommend it to all my friends and students in my area, as I believe its a perfect start to your career. Its a push start in the right direction and you gain valuable working and personal skills that will be with you for life.
I would say be yourself, and don't be nervous. Its easier said than done, but if you relaxed it will be so much easier. Also ask questions to find out more, it shows your interested and eager to learn! I would also say not to be intimidated my the recruitment process, its not a real test, its more of a way to see if you would fit into the area and if you can prosper at LBG
