I am a first year so am yet to go on placement. My first year has been just like a normal students in that we have lectures, seminars and workshops throughout the whole year. The only contact we've had from PwC is an office speed dating session to help choose our office and weekly skills sessions where we developed areas such as team work and IT skills
We're hopefully going to be exempt from a few ICAEW ACA exams by the end of the year. I've learnt a lot about the law which I previously had little knowledge of and have also had a lot of focus centred around my financial and management accounting skills.
The programme is great, we have a reasonably tight nit group within the course so there's always a friendly face at a lecture or someone to walk to the lecture theatre with.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] who run's the skills sessions has been very fun to work with, the fact that PwC have sent someone in to develop our skills prior to placement makes me feel valued. We also get free ICAEW books from them which is always a bonus!
Very well organised, we were given a timetable sheet of how our skills sessions would run and they have gone accordingly.
Very good - Weekly skills sessions and an email address to contact with any issues.

I haven't received any money yet but from what we'e been told about placement it looks like the money will be more than sufficient. This year i've probably saved around £140 on books which PwC have paid for which has been helpful.
We have been informed of monthly drinks and sports teams which the different office's provide.
