Assisting the store manager in the day to day running of the store, also running the store on my own as well as coaching and developing myself and others
Every day I learn new things by keeping and open mind and dealing with whatever is thrown at me in a positive manner
Because we are a pilot for this new style apprenticeship there has been a few niggles along the way, all which have or are being dealt with by the hard work put in by the people at head office
I'd like to think I am valued by The Co-op although sometimes it can feel like a lot goes unnoticed
Again due to us being the guinea pigs things haven't gone as well as I had hoped. Leading me to being quite stressed on some occasions, however the hard work and proactive approach and positive manner that both coop and learn direct have dealt with it has been something brilliant
If I need any help or support I feel confident I can either contact the coop people or my learn direct coach and get a fast response and hopefully some resolution
My area manager has joined in on one of my reviews and my store manager has attended all but one. I'm confident that if needed then they would both support me
I don't feel that my salary is very fair up to what I know other team managers receive however this course isn't costing me anything
There lots of opportunities to develop myself and get engaged in the local community also outside of work
Yes
Because it's a great place to work most of the time, with plenty of career progression opportunities
Be yourself always and you get out what you put in, hard work says a lot.
