Within the first year of my apprenticeship I have been attending college on a full time basis. It has been thoroughly enjoyable learning new skills that will assist me throughout the rest of my apprenticeship and career.
I have learned many new skills within my time at college. I am very eager and excited to apply these skills and knowledge within the workplace when my time at college has come to an end.
The programme I am taking part in is throughly enjoyable. The subject is a real passion of mine which I have been interested in from a young age. Siemens is a fantastic company to work for with very friendly, helpfull and welcoming staff members.
I feel like I am an important part of a well structured, valuable team. I have regular reviews and asked for opinions and feedback about the work i am doing.
My programme is very well organised and structured. I have time tables allowing the apprenticeship to be broken down into stages that are easily visible. I believe it is important to know what the framework of the programme looks like and siemens have provided me with more than enough information.
I received a lot of support from my training provider, having regular reviews to talk about progress and any outstanding issues. We also have contact details and are able to contact line managers at any point within the program.

At the moment, my salary does not meet my costs entirely. I also have a part time job which helps me do so. I am also very lucky that my partner has a full time job. This sacrifice is worth it in the long term as once I have completed the apprenticeship I will be earning an excellent salary.
I have been told of opportunities outside of work, however I have yet to experience them as I am only within my first year of the apprenticeship.
Yes
From my experience, siemens is a fantastic company to work for. opportunities within the company seem endless if you are willing to work hard an put in the effort. The salary and benefits are very competitive which I believe contribute to a high employee retention record. Every siemens employee I have come into contact with has been so welcoming, helpfull and friendly towards me. This is so important in making people look forward to going to work each day. The training that siemens provide the apprentices is unrivaled, meaning that I am receiving the best possible training within the industry.
Make sure that you take your time in applying for an apprenticeship with Siemens. Take every step of the application process seriously as if you are successfully, the experience could change your life for the better.
