Within this work experience my fist week consisted of skills workshops and filling out a learning log. However, the second week we were provided with business experience within canary wharf where I was assigned to the risk advisory team.
During this work experience I have learnt many skills and methods to consolidate these skills. Examples of the many skills I have learnt is how to give effective feedback, how to be a good team leader and how to provide effective coaching to others.
I have enjoyed this programme to a large extent as it has exceeded my expectations and provide me a fun second weeks with insight into the world of EY.
At EY I felt extremely valued. Despite being an intern I was treated with the same respect as an actual employee and granted the time of day if I had any queries.
The programme was very well organised with lunch being set out on time, the induction was well thought out and included things that were needed for beginning the job.
I received loads of support from my training provider including advice for future careers and allowed to consider my options more widely.
My employer gave loads of support and provided empathy and understanding if I could not do something or if the task given to me was out of my depth.
The salary covers my costs extremely well as with it I can cover living costs, travel costs and also be left over with something for myself.
The EY foundation provides alumni events and also has connections to many art galleries and other benefits.
Yes
Because the programme is useful in developing you as a person and the treatment is as if you are an actual employee with them.
In regards to any tips I would say to prepare for the interview and ensure that you know your strengths and your development points.
