The role that I did was being a EY Smart Futures student for the last two weeks. This includes doing my learning logs at EY and then going to the Home Office for four days as part of the business experience.
Throughout my work experience I have been able to gain new skills for the world of work. This includes learning how there are different methods of how to give feedback and coaching. Also I have learnt about the skills needed to become a good team leader.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme because I was able to meet new people, being able to learn new things and most of all I enjoyed working with the nicest people I have ever met.
I have felt very valued by EY because people within the workplace really appreciate your personality, the staff take care of you and you are able as a student to really focus on the job at hand.
The programme was organised well by the members of staff. This is because the organisers were able to help students with getting the right business experience.
I have receive a lot of support from my training provider in terms of helping students get a qualification in team leading. Furthermore, I have been able to gain support and advice from current employees from EY.
I have also been receiving good support from my employer because I have been able to meet new people, build networks for the future and being able to get a mentor to help me in my future plans.
I am happy with my salary because I am going to use the money to help me with my personal needs to either help me with my career path or other ventures.
In my opinion, there are opportunities outside of work but it requires people to actually be proactive in really finding the right opportunity to help others.
Yes
The reason why I would recommend the programme to a friend is because the people are friendly, there is a nice working atmosphere and most of all you get the best learning experience and support to help you for the future.
Fill in the online application to the best of your ability, be calm and relax in your phone interview as long as you have lots of things to talk about yourself, always be punctual at all times during the programme and sign up to the programme to help yourself not for others.
