Job title: Analyst Intern Daily tasks: varied: PMO work, minutes, SharePoint editing/updating, data validation, generic excel/PPT work, BRD creation, Business Change work, financials overviewing etc. usually 9-6.30pm though sometimes a bit shorter and sometimes much longer
Yes, vastly improved my excel, PPT skills. Learned how to use Visio, QC, to an extent SAP, SharePoint etc. Minuting (seemingly easy but an important skill), general organisation, managing my own finances etc.
I enjoyed it a lot. My team were always friendly, banterous and easy going. The company culture is competitive but that's definitely a good thing. All in all i'd like to go back if i get the opportunity.
internal recognition is quite high, external much less and i was involved quite often in projects but keep in mind as an 18 year old intern there will always be some give and take.
Very well organised.
If you needed anything or had to learn something etc. support is always there, very easily accessible.
Whenever I requested assistance it was given, very easy to talk to and willing to help with all problems. Yes i did enjoy it.
well. Though london is expensive and rent will take a huge chunk out of the salary.
Yes, there are tonnes of company events/activites/volunteering opportunities and general training possibilities. Book clubs, football etc. You name it, they've got it.
Yes
Because of the above. It gives you good contacts and you learn a lot.
Ensure you spend time with your application, it is competitive. Be yourself and never pretend you know something (dont BS). If you can, try to polish up on excel skills.
