Intern at EY. I was situated in More London Place and was apart of the EY smart futures foundation.
I have developed new skills and refined the skills that I currently have which includes networking with other people and communication as I was made to give several pitches/presentation. Also time management as we were required to come on time at 9:30am.
The experience was very humbling as we were given the chance to work with professionals who were experience in their specialist areas. this gave us an insight in to what we may want to do in the future and is very beneficial to us.
EY is a company that values people regardless of their background. this is what makes me feel valued and EY and is reflected by the Smart Futures Programme.
The programme is structured well as the first week we learn more about the professional lifestyle and how to act in a professional manner. the second week we go in to our working experience placements. with some people going to EY, The home office and other going to Linklaters.
We received a lot of support from our mentors as they provided us with information on how to reach the career path that they have or how to get into a specific professional sector.
There are opportunities such as company events outside the work place which may be a bit informal.
