I was a student gaining information in this program. for the first few days we learnt about the clients and we did a few activities. we learnt a range of things about the company and then for the second week we were separated into different businesses learning about their roles and responsibilities and getting a good insight.
ive learnt to manage time and ive also learnt a few things in the finance section in EY firm in canary wharf.
ive enjoyed the program a lot it was definitely a good use of my time and really beneficial for me as I got really good experience and the working environment.
I felt really appreciated and the everyone treated me with respect and extra care when it came to confusion in certain tasks.
The programme did say it will start at 9.30am on some days but some days it started maybe 15minutes later than usual. but other than that it was well structured.
I received a lot of support my mentor was always with me and when I needed help they were always their to provide it.
I received a lot of support from my employer as they were also always there and they did manage to give me as much as information as possible.
The salary for my work experience was fair but mainly the experience definitely worth my time
There are a few opportunities outside work but there are also better opportunities if students join new programmes or they can choose to pursue further education.
Yes
they can get a good insight and an overview of how Ernst and young works.
take a pen and pad to take notes and to also ask questions if theyre unsure because advice and insights within EY is rare and has a few key information about life.
