I work in the audit department which is checking companies accounts are accurate and legal however my day to day tasks can change whether I am out on an audit or not. When at a clients I will be given designated tasks to complete from the audit programme. If I am working in the office I will usually still be working on tasks from the audit programme or completing work that needs to be finished.
I think going out to clients has boosted my confidence and gave me better communication skills. Going on two skills for business courses has also improved my job skills for when I am out on audits. I have learnt a lot about the nature and business of companies since I have started working at Mazars.
I really enjoy my programme as I like going out to clients but I also enjoy working in the office as I have a friendly team who are very helpful. I think Mazars thoroughly met my expectations as it has provided me with a great working environment enabling me to learn and develop the skills I need for future progress.
Given involvement and responsibility with certain tasks I feel very valued by Mazars LLP. I felt valued by the company when given praise in my appraisal about the work I have carried out.
When I first started I had two inductions detailing how my programme would work. I think my programme is well structured as I am given days off to go to college which enable me to learn and pass my exams. I also believe I have lots of support when carrying out work and for college related activities.
I believe I receive adequate support from my training provider as I have regular meetings with my reviewer seeing how I am coping and I also receive a lot of support from my tutor at college as I can contact them any time when I need help.
I receive a lot of support from my employer as if I ever needed help or support there is always someone there who can give me the support I need. I think my line manager is very approachable and I can always go to them when I have a question or need support also my team in work enable me with support when I need it.
My salary just meets my costs.
There are a lot of opportunities outside of work. We have a company event every month were people in work can network. We also have a social event every month with other companies were people can get the chance to network with people from other companies. Also there are a lot of company activities helping the local community such as gardening and picking up litter at Anfield.
Yes
I would recommend Mazars to a friend because it has a great company culture and friendly team members enabling work life to be enjoyable. I would also recommend Mazars as they offer a great training programme which enables skills and development.
The advice I would give is to always be yourself and answer questions truthfully and to the best of your extent. Don't rush the application process and try and stay calm in the interview.
