Working as an Analyst (Same level as graduate joiners) on Management Consulting projects. I've been part of a small team with large responsibilities. I have been resposnsible for delivering pieces of client work as well as presenting this internally to my team and in a few cases externally to the client. I've am often asigned research and analysis tasks which involve presenting the results in slie decks which I create myself.
Intensive training week at the beginning of the internship - but real learning came from just being on the job. I've learnt a lot about the industry I work in (Lifer Sciences) and have developed my business skills immensly. The performance review updates with my managers where aparticularly good way to highlight things I was doing well and areas to develop.
A lot! The work is interesting and challenging, I have a lot of reponsibility and the people are great. Lots of social oppitunities within my project team and also the intern communicty.
As mentioned above I have had the chance to work on important parts of my project, and have had lots of time with my manager looking at ways to improve. Also had significant face time with clients as well which was good.
Overall the organisation has been fantastic - the HR team are frequently avalible to answer questions and help out and the programme is well thought out and established. 8 stars because I think there could have been more ongoing training.
Fantastic amount of support should you want it. Regular feedback sessions and a genuine feeling from all my managers whilst here that they wanted to help develop my career as much as possible.
Same as above (6A)
Good salary - I've had to move to London to have to account for rent, bills etc. Obviously things in London are expensive but found I could save a bit a month after social, travel and rent etc.
There are mutiple socials within your team and intern community, There are also sports teams and clubs to get involved in although some of these lacked itern involvmet. Personally I joined the hockey and motorsports clubs.
