  • My role is to serve customers with everyday banking needs.

  • I have completed internal training and also completing my apprenticeship. I have learned specific banking regulations and how to use the systems to serve customers. I have learned how to speak over the phone and be professional.

  • I enjoy the team I am in and think this helps to enjoy my role.

  • I do feel valued, however I am a single working mother of 5 and believe their should be more in place for individuals like myself in terms of parental leave.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe the process is smooth and structured well.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive alot of support from Jo my Talent Coach and she will help with any work issues and direct me to where I need to go. My manager will also help when she can.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • In terms of guidance, I believe that the managers do not really know how to handle specific cases.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I am a single mother of 5 and we do not get bonuses whilst on apprenticeship. However, we are doing the same job as everyone else, and more work on top of that to pass our apprenticeships and getting paid less

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Barclays have held a ball and we were invited but getting the time off to attend was the challenge. Also, not aware of any leisure or clubs.

  • Yes

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Ensure you know what shifts you will working as I applied for 9-5's and was given 9-7 flexi shifts
