I am a maintenance engineering apprentice. My role involves maintaining machines and equipment and also fixing broken equipment.
My team work skills have developed phenomenally. My problem solving skills have also developed and I feel this will aid me in the future.
I love my apprenticeship and believe the way it is structured works really well. I enjoy the different tasks and people I work with.
I feel extremely valued by nestle and already feel like a key member of the team. I have been welcomed into the "family" and feel I have a lot to offer them.
The programme is well organised and structured as there is always something to do and always new things to learn. There is also always help along the way should I need it.
I receive all the support I could ask for from my training provider and I always feel as though I know how to do things I'm asked comfortably once they have explained things.
I receive a phenomenal amount of support from my employer. They are always making sure that I am learning to the best of my ability and developing the skills I needn't to progress.
My salary meets my daily living costs fantastically. I can live comfortably with the wage in which I am provided.
There are many opportunities outside of work and I feel my social life has grown thanks to the job. I also think my skills development had grown outside of work due to the opportunities which arrise.
Yes
Because as a female in a male dominated job I have been welcomed in and never treated differently. We are all members of the same party and everyone is treated equally.
Always be yourself and let your confidence guide you. Never be afraid to ask questions and always stand out from the crowd.
