My job role is to assist the build/test crews with the day to day running/building of engines. I have to interact with many different people with a varying skill sets
I have learnt many new skills and abilities in my apprenticeship this has increased my dexterity with the tools and it has also improved the way in which I approach a problem
I really enjoyed the apprenticeship program I found that it really improved my outlook on how I see work as every day was extremely enjoyable
I feel very valued at rolls Royce, during my apprenticeship I was given full support from the company for both the college and the workplace I feel that they go over and above to make sure that you achieve the best you can be.
The program was extremely well structured as we had both company and college contact to ensure the smooth flowing of the course and the rate at which we progressed
We had our own dedicated training manager at the college that would have weekly meeting with us to make sure that we had no issues with the course
We have our own apprentice development leader who makes sure to have regular one to one meetings to ensure that we are happy with our progress and we don't have any issues
My salary is really good as gives me both the flexibility to save and still have a good quality of life.
Outside work there are always events happening with the apprentices we would normally be in contact with each other too organise and execute these events
Yes
I feel that Rolls-Royce gets the best out of its apprentices through a great support network through both the company and the college to ensure that the apprentice meets there full potential.
I would advise them to be confident and to make sure to apply as it could change there life
