my role at Cummins - ASSEMBLY APPRENTICE - I work on the assembly lines which consists of building a turbo from scratch which is separated into stations. e.g. in some circumstances a turbo may be separated into 15 stations. also as an apprentice we get chances to work in other departments off of the shop floor. I have spent time in kaizen, health and safety, and quality.
going to college for a year I definitely learned new skills doing level 2, I'm a first aider at work which I think is a very valuable skill I have had the opportunity to learn. I have learnt how to work well in a team also
I have enjoyed my programme as I have been able to move around a number of departments learning different skills
I feel I am valued and are treat well at Cummins.
pretty well as I get to experience a few different departments instead of being stuck on the shop floor
plenty if theres any problems or queries i could talk to HR or i could also talk to the union who would do there best to help me out.
my salary covers my costs easily, I have plenty left over to spend on luxury's for example my car.
