work as a apprentice in maintenance teams. doing different maintenance each day
learnt a lot of new skills to do with railway signalling that I will need to progress in my career
first year was hard living away from home, the food was and accommodation wasn't at a very good standard and the pay wasn't as good as other apprenticeships
not very my manager took a disliking to me and moved me to another depot after the first 6 months. although at my new depot It is nice my time as an apprentice wasn't very enjoyable. my manager didn't really care about how I progressed as long as I didn't cause him any trouble
the programme changed exam board half way through the second year so we had to change all the work we was doing. my courses in sultan changed dates everytime they was set
the training is good they teach you a lot
my manager didn't really support me he just didn't want me bothering him,
not very good, in the first year we was paid 650 a month which didn't really go very far.
none that I am aware of
No
I didn't enjoy my time as an apprentice because I wasn't shown the right support from my manager
