  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Learnt and developed various new skills throughout my experience on the apprenticeship programme and in my current role. From interpersonal ones such as leadership, management, team building and collaboration, to more role-specific capabilities such as data and analytical skills, presentation skills and problem solving.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Programme has been extremely rewarding and given me many incredible experiences - none of which I would have been able to had I chosen the traditional university path. Very grateful that I got the exposure of so many different departments and roles throughout the programme, and been able to complete my degree sponsored by Nestlé at the same time.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Nestle?
  • Very valued, and felt supported throughout my time at Nestlé, both in terms of personal and professional development and progression.

    9/10

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has been well structured from the start - with schedules for our university weeks given at the beginning of each year so as to be able to plan the work/life/university schedule for the full year. We are also given the deadlines for university assignments at the start of the year, so we can incorporate this into our planning.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Each university week consisted of a completely different module, where we received support from different lecturers each time. Outside of this, the support came more from employer side as this is where the majority of our time was spent.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Supported by the employer throughout the programme, with more support towards the beginning as we settled into the business and university, and encouraging us to be more independent in the last couple of years. Support was always available in terms of personal and professional development when needed.

    8/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Very happy with the salary - much more than I expect I would have received if I had joined the company after completing university.

    9/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Various opportunities to get involved with initiatives such as Diversity & Inclusion, health and wellbeing, volunteering and many more.

    9/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Nestle to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a company that you can trust to take very good care of you. I feel privileged to have been on this sponsored degree programme alone, having come out of it with no university debt, a degree, and 3 years of really valuable work experience. I would also say that the flexible working is incredible, and the benefits are probably a lot better than most organisations.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestle?
  • Be yourself. Show that you know about the company and care about its values and purpose, and demonstrate how you want to build on these, and how these align to your own.
