I am a student in A-Levels studying Mathematics, Economics, Psychology and Sociology. I am currently in year 12. Within school, I run a trading society and outside school I am a Student Ambassador for the Social Mobility Foundation.
During the event I was able to improve in 3 main aspects. Firstly, develop my teamwork skills via the group activity. Secondly, network more effectively as I got the opportunity to practice this during lunch and lastly the ability to present my ideas to the room!
I really enjoyed it! I was able to meet like-minded students and develop a holistic understanding of the career options available to me. Also, I was able to identity my key skills and see how they are valued by EY.
I feel very valued. During the day, the colleagues would approach students and treat them as if they were already working there! Also, on completion of the programme EY kept in touch regular.
Very organised. We were given an itinerary of the day and what to expect which we could follow through the day.
I am not working at EY currently. However, learning about the training opportunities I realised at EY they give you great training and qualification opportunities such as the ACA
Although I am not part of the firm I feel like I get a lot of support. The team at EY are very responsive to my emails and will answer any questions I have with energy!
We were able to find out what school leavers earnt. This was also a great salary as you have no debt!
Speaking to colleagues at EY I was able to learn there are many opportunities outside work such as volunteering, working abroad and also also taking part in clubs.
Yes
This is because I feel very valued and included with the firm even when I haven't started working there. Alternatively, the individuals who work there are amazing!
I would tell individuals to be open minded as there's great options to select from which at first may not sound interesting. For example, I learnt tax has so many components to it. Secondly, I would tell them to use the STAR technique in the telephone interviews.
