I am a network rail apprentice where I deal with high output track renewals learning to use machines that can maintain and renew parts of the railway
I have learnt many new skills from using basic hand tools to learning the principals of mechanics
I enjoy my apprenticeship a lot as it is a challenge and constantly pushes my abilities
I feel very valued and appreciated, the people at network rail have looked after me and made me feel included
The organisation could use a bit of work, but it isn't bad. I do what is planned for me
I receive a lot of support from my peers and my colleagues throughout all of my apprenticeship
My employer give me everything I need to succeed in my apprenticeship and support all my decisions
Apprentice wages are not the highest, but I am paid to learn, so I cannot complain.
