I work in customer development at Unilever. my responsibilities involve customer administration, sales reports, pricing. I also am the APS for my department so I manage the artwork processes within my team.
I have developed my skills in excel and my confidence. I have been trained as an APS. I have also learnt a lot about customer communication.
I enjoy the freedom of the programme. I have been allowed so many opportunities to develop and grow my skills. I really enjoy my role and the work environment
I feel that my manager respects and values me as well as my work. I feel encouraged to do my best and given opportunity to grow.
I feel the programme is well structured and flows organically with your development within the company and the role. I feel sufficiently supported by the HR team.
I receive sufficient support from my assessor Jo. She is very efficient at marking the work I have submitted and very helpful with any queries.
My manager provides me with great support. He is happy to help me with any questions I may have. He is eager for me to have any training that will assist me in my apprenticeship.
I find the salary is rather tight. I find that I have to really budget myself on the wage.
I have made great friends through my apprenticeship both, from my intake and my department. I have had the opportunity to go on multiple nights out with my team which has been a great experience.
Yes
I feel it is a company that has so much room for you to grow once you get your foot in the door. You could relocate around the world and work in many different functions.
My advice would be to try your best on the application process and then be yourself on the open day. The most important thing is for your potential employers to see you for who you are and get to know you as a person.
