    • Mechanical Engineering Apprentice During the first year, It is spent at the QinetiQ apprentice training school at Boscombe Down.

    • Yes Aiming towards NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma

    • I have enjoyed the programme so far

    • Good communication with manager even though based at different site.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

    • The programme is well structured. There is time for private study as well as practical and theory lessons.

    • The school prepares us for the exams to a good standard.

    • DSTL offer a lot of support and are happy to talk any time.

    • The salary is not bad and increases in the second and third years.

    • There have been work meals outside of work hours.

    • Good opportunities and have learnt a lot in a short time.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Dstl?

    • Don't worry about not having A-levels etc. People still enter after GCSEs and are employed.
