I was encouraged to get involved in many different projects meanings day to day activities varied. I was able to speak to and make contacts with a variety of people from graduate to partner level.
During my first placement I was able to gain a much greater insight into the financial services industry and anyone was happy to answer any questions that I had.
I thoroughly enjoy the scholarship programme as I am able to gain a real insight into working in a consultancy job before many of my peers will have been able to get this experience.
EY's aim of creating a better working world makes me feel very important as being part of the future workforce and I feel as if I would be able to build a career with the company after leaving university.
The programme is is structured relatively well without each year's placement length being set out before joining the programme. I was also able to find out the dates for the placement this year at the end of last year's placement.
Whilst on placements I was assigned both a buddy and a work counsellor who both gave me a lot of advice about making the most of my placements and answered any general questions I had.
I have made many contacts within EY and know that I would have a lot of support from the company if I had any questions or needed any career advice.
The salary is very goof considering the age ignore scholars on the programme, and covers the majority of costs involved in taking part in the programme, for example, travel , accommodation etc.
Whilst on placement I heard a variety of opportunities available outside of work, for example the opportunity to join a sports club which would take place with colleagues outside of the workplace.
Yes
EY has a very good culture to work for and everyone is very happy to talk to you and answer any questions you may have.
I would advise you to do a lot of research about EY and the different departments and roles within these departments to ensure that you apply for the right position for you.
