job role, technical apprentice. currently at an outside training provider learning the basic skills required for the apprenticeship. also go to college one day a week where we learn the theory behind the practical skills we are using.
I have learnt new skills such as programing and how to write code, I also now learnt bench work and am much more confident in filing. I have developed my understanding of electronics and how components work together.
i realy enjoy the programe and am so glad to have been given this oppertunity. i cant wait to start working properly back on site as part of a team.
BAE systems amkes you feel very valued even though you are just an apprentice.we have been given teambuilidng weeks away and are always included in any events on site even though were arent the most of time.
very well strucured and organised we always know where to be and what to do well ahead of time and support is always there for us if we are unsure or need help.
the training provider (IPS international) are very supportive in our work and are always there to explian ior give examles we feel very confident with them, they also help us with college work outside of there training which is very good of them considering they do not have to do that for us.
BAE systems are very supportive there are always avalible to talk us and we know exaclty how and where to conntact them.other employees and former apprentices have also made time to talk to us off thier own backs which has been very helpful with things such as college.
the salary is very generous for the hours we work and the job we do,it just about meets my costs but that is my own choice as i live around 50 miles form the site and travel costs are large this is no fault of BAE systems.
BAE systems have lots of oppertuines for company activitys and we're always being invited back to site for evnets and site gatherings.secod year apprentices always make us feel included and orgasie outings off thier oen backs which is quite good to heklp us get to know people.
