As an apprentice I have moved periodically between job roles, as such I have been given a variety of tasks to complete. I regularly network with other departments to complete my work and have on occasion been in customer facing situations answering queries.
Since starting in the company I have gained a LV2 in Engineering operations and have completed the majority of a lv4 in Engineering. Further to this I am 2 years into a 5 year degree programme. Also I have completed a number of courses within the company including the use of specialist computer programmes and lean operations.
Within the range of placements I have enjoyed some of my job roles, these roles made me want to come to work and find out what work I would be carrying out that day.
I feel valued within the company, many high level managers take time out to recognise and support our scheme.
To begin with the programme seemed very organised and well structured. The day to day organisation is very good and the future is well mapped for my scheme, considering we are the first year on the programme.
The college where we do our degree studies provides a well mapped out scheme and on the whole the tutors are enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
The employer provides a very high level of support and the knowledge within the company is invaluable to my degree studies.
Benefits and salary on the scheme are excellent
There are plenty of sports teams throughout the company, most are attached to the on site social clubs. The company holds many events for charity and fosters a 'great place' to work ethic.
Yes
Great place to work, with many opportunities
show a real passion for engineering throughout.
