Mainly responsible for the support of service delivery to the project and the customer by gathering information on time, cost and quality while updating multiple schedules and using a varied amount of tools.
I have begun to develop an extensive knowledge on the PM Topic as a whole through university and interactions with professionals within the business. I have also become competent with the use of many workplace tools and programmes related to the role.
I enjoy both the engaging day to day work and the relationship I have with both my fellow apprentices and those based within the project team, all of which are extremely helpful and kind.
The Early Careers central function highly values every apprentice they take on board, always willing to listen to any concerns with a friendly approach and ensure your progression continues.
The course follows an extremely well structured 5 year plan of which all apprentices working are aligned to, the university lessons themselves involve a lot of discussion and debate, which the tutor is always willing to clarify afterwards if need be.
Support whilst attending our university lessons is always extremely helpful and in-depth, problems do sometimes arise when contacting them from outside of lesson with emails sometimes taking weeks to be replied to, or not at all.
My placement manager is extremely understanding and so to are the early careers function, they understand that for many of us this our first ever full time role and that the company and environment can be intimidating and yet they are eager to answer questions and settle nerves.
The wage is extremely generous, with year increases, cost of living increases and a company bonus.
There are always opportunities available to engage and take part in, it's simply a question of whether you have the time to attend.
Yes
It's a great course, working at a great company, meeting industry experts and developing an outstanding base upon which to launch your career.
Prepare for the assessment day, taking your time and giving honest answers.
