I do 3 full days at work, 1.5 days at college and 0.5 days of NVQ. The work is quite interesting and placements change roughly every 6 months, these placements develop different skillsets and provide a wide overview of the business which is useful.
I have gained a lot of experience programming and crucially I've also developed skills in working both with and for projects. Skills which are very useful in an office environment.
I have enjoyed the experience, the extra curricular experiences such as Outward Bound were particularly interesting.
The work I do for projects feels very valued by the projects. However particularly in Yeovil, we as a apprentices seem to have been neglected by the wider business. However recently we have at least had two more senior people in Yeovil working hard to try and improve things for us.
Again, down in Yeovil we have been neglected at times, particularly where organisation and structure is concerned. However again we have had two senior people in Yeovil working hard to try and improve things for us
The College have been poor in many ways, though the staff are very friendly there have been a lot of empty promises.
When we make complaints recommendations they act very quickly to rectify the problems and concerns we have are well supported.
Much more than sufficient and very competitive against other top schemes.
I have had many opportunities to attend career fairs and Outward Bound was a very good experience.
Yes
It's faults are being improved and the working experience provided by this scheme is very good.
Have confidence in your application and remember that your ability to work in a team is crucial to your application.
