1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Project Manager for support of the Canadian Hawk fleet. Customer interaction. International travel to customer locations (Canada / Texas). Daily problem solving, presenting and customer interaction.

BSc Hons degree achieved from Lancaster University. Higher apprenticeship achieved through Association of Project managers. Communication skills, confidence, analysis, problem solving, time management.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Great corporate culture, a wealth of extra curricular activities to get involved in, strong team atmosphere.

4. How valued do you feel by BAE Systems?

Very much so. Company consistently invests in my development such as funding me to attend conferences, awards ceremonies and visits to customer locations outside of my current area of responsibility.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Small Uni classrooms, lots of support throughout the entire programme. Numerous opportunities and stretch assignments run alongside main scheme.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Very generous salaries, bonuses, expense policies. 23 year old graduates can expect north of £33,000pa after completing the scheme.

Short of the BAE Sigma scheme, I know of no better way to start a career.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?

Learn some background about the company through news articles to prepare for the interview, show an interest in the company itself as opposed to the perks of the scheme.
