I am an Essential Banker at Barclays, this is a customer facing role. It involves me dealing with and helping customer complete their everyday Banking.
Yes, since beginning this apprenticeship I have developed and improved on a number of skills. For example, being customer facing everyday and increased my confidence significantly as it now allows me to build great rapport with our customers.
I enjoy the programme to a large extent. This is because I enjoy the everyday challenges that the job role brings me. I also love the fact that I gain a qualification while working full time and it prepares me for the future, in being able to balance my schedule to ensure everything is completed on time.
I have settled in incredibly well with my team and therefore feel very welcomed because since the first day, the staff have been nothing but helpful in helping me to develop to a quality level Essential Banker.
The programme is organised effectively as it is clear and precise because I know where everything is when I need help regarding the programme. For example direct access to my training leader.
I am very happy with the support I receive from my training provider because I am able to call or text my leader whenever I need help.
I receive a good amount of support from my employer because they are always asking for updates to ensure that I am up to date.
The salary that I receive is vey sufficient in being able to meet my costs and also being able to save with the money left over.
Yes, Barclays offer many opportunities for their employees, whether this involves training courses or customer events. There is also something going on outside of work which is available.
Yes
They look after their staff and take great pride and care in providing for their staff.
Barclays is a great company to work for, for anyone who loves being around technology as it provides great opportunities. Also I'd say for everyone to just be themselves as this is ultimately what Barclays are looking for.
