My role was as an Intern within the EY Assurance service line relating to financial services. I was asked to do tasks a general 1st-year graduate starting at the firm would undertake. This involved performing simple excel task to writing reports. I interacted with a whole range of clients and collegues taking on a more support role.
I learnt a copious amount of knowledge relating to the assurance service line through a learn as you work basis. Moreover, I was given mini-courses to do in order to expand my knowledge further.
I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my time at EY. The team were very supportive and great to work with.
I felt very valued and an important part of the team (to the extent of my experience and training).
The whole programme was very well structured and laid out. I didn't feel a lack of support at any time.
The support was superb. The nature at EY was one where you could ask anyone anything if you were unsure and they would do their best to help.
I support was spot on and I didn't feel like there was anything missing.
My salary met my living costs.
Yes, Ey held many events and socials at my time there. Additionally, they advertised sports teams and certain clubs as well.
Yes
Becuase it was the perfect example of a supportive employer. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed the culture and experience.
For the application process, EY gave a lot of support so I felt prepared at every stage. However, I would recommend one thing, be yourself!
