On an average day as an apprentice we do a variety of things, this varies from hands on work to presentations for other employees. Currently we hold a massive variety of responsibilities from individual work to cooperating in a team without arguing ect.
From the workplace you gain a well known qualification from BAE Systems which allows you to expand and move about around the world. This is done by internal training to external training. Whilst learning a good qualification you also gain hands on skills (for example creating a perfect datum).
I love working in a team as it allows me to bond with my fellow employees, but sometimes I also like to work alone as it lets me focus on my own skills. BAE systems exceeded my expectations as a workplace.
I fell extremely valued by BAE Systems because if something's wrong, it can be sorted out in an extremely fast time. This helps to prevent fallouts ect.
Sometimes I feel that it isn't as organised as you would expect because we moved into a new building this meant that not very many workshops were either incomplete or just unable to be used.
You receive as much support from your trainer as you need, if anything is ever wrong it can be helped by just saying. They are always there to guide you.
As mentioned previously the support from the trainer is top notch this is exactly the same with the employer, if anything is ever wrong it can be sorted as soon as possible.
The salary package is quite good as its plenty for a 16 year old, however older apprentices (for example 25) may struggle as some own their own house and have bills to pay.
There are hundreds of opportunities that work puts on for you when you aren't in the workplace whether its from charity events to competitions there's always something available.
