Technical Apprentice, Flight Test Engineering (Placement 3). I take on the role of a flight test engineer planning/Organising flight trials for new equipment. Each placement has a different day-day activity.
The Apprenticeship gives academic qualifications like a HNC in Aeronautical Engineering as well as practical skills e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Technical Support.
I Enjoy the Verity of roles that you take on during your time as a apprentice. It gives a high understanding of what the company do as well as rounding your personal skills
I feel like the every employee understands the value that the apprentices can bring the company and the area. This makes me feel Very Valued
There is a structure in place that is easy to follow, we are all given a training advisor that supports us through our role and keeps us on task.
Our training provider is always available to give support when needed. That go out of they way to support the apprentices to the best of there ability's
My employer understands the role that the apprentices and try to support them as much as possible, and will give apprentices time to air there issues
This is a well payed apprenticeship with a clear sturcute to pay increases, the only issue is when you start at a different level and don't know what the pay increase is going to move to.
The company push and support out of work activity's weather ii issupporting STEM (Science, Technology, engineering and maths) Activity's, Open days or team sports.
