maintenance technician, carrying out general maintenance around plant. liaising with other departments such as chemistry, engineering. we have a brief at the start and end of every day to talk about safety and also the operational focus of the plant.
NVQ Level 3 in engineering. HNC general engineering.many internal training courses surrounding my electrical discipline. i have learnt lots of new skills and also more basic skills that i have added to my knowledge and understanding of the station capabilities.
it is work at the end of the day but i do get up in the morning looking forward to the challenging day ahead.
we do get recognition when we do good things and also negative coaching to enable us to learn more as team
very well organised and we get lots of support.

excellent employer salary wise and also we are very well looked after. not many people leave edf to go onto better things as this is top notch
