  • I am a facilities definition engineer who's role is to lease with team members and state requirements for projects. It is also to give a fresh set of eyes on projects.

  • I have developed my team working skills as I am working In a team all of the time. I have also earned a level 2 NVQ. I didn't have a level 2 NVQ before my job

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my team and working. The company culture is excellent as I am treated really well. I feel as if I met my expectations well. I really like coming to work.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BAE Systems?
  • As an apprentice I feel like I am really valued. Everyone is willing to spend time with me and help me out. Everyone is also willing to speak to me at any point.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme could be more well organised. This is because we are the second co hort and things don't seem to be structured very well. Improvements could be made

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Training providers have a good general attitude into helping us. But it takes a long time to get this support and most of the time problems have grown by the time support is given.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer as a whole gives great support. This is because we are the future of the company. Everyone values the apprentices at the company and have a very good attitude before them

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • After my car and living costs are deducted my disposable income is very low. Especially when trying to save up for a house and pay all my other out goings.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • there are various opportunities outside of work to get involved in such as a site to site walk which happens once a year for charity. its a good opportunity.

  • Yes

  • It is a good company with great benefits. you will be looked after very well. Your ideas will always be taken into account. The people here are very kind too.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • To get as many people as possible to look at your application. this will give you tips on how to improve it and how you come across as a person to the reader.
