A one day programme that involves exploring the different career paths you can take into accounting whether this is through university or a school leaver programme. Additionally, you find out how EY operates as one of the 'big four'firms.
The biggest thing you develop on the day is confidence as you meet like-minded people from all over the UK. Additionally, you develop your analysis and team work skills as you will get the opportunity to study a case study as a team and then present it.
The programme was very enjoyable because you get to meet new people and you get to ask as many questions as you want to the team leaders who already work at EY. Therefore, they give you great insight of what to expect if you work at EY.
I felt very valued by EY as they paid for all my travel expenses and they accommodated me in the Hilton hotel.Additionally, EY provided lunch from Jamie's Italian which catered to everybody's dietary requirements. Moreover, the venue of the programme was excellent.
The day was very well organised as there were a variety of activities and insights throughout the day. Employees from the different sectors of EY gave talks about what each sector involves which was very helpful alongside the insight you get from the team leaders. Additionally, you complete a case study as a team which gives you a snapshot of what a working day could be like.
Throughout the day you recieve support from your team leaders who are very approachable and eager to help.
I recieved a lot of support because they took into consideration how far I lived from London and were happy to pay for my accommodation and travel expenses to ensure I arrived on time for the programme.
All my costs were covered by EY to an extremely high standard.
EY has many employee networks which include sports and a various number of societies.
Yes
I would recommend EY because they value you as a person so you dont have to be somebody your not which I think is very important, so they welcome uniqueness and creativity.
If you are applying to EY make sure you read through your application carefully and practice psychometric tests before you do the proper ones. However, the most important advice I can give is, to be yourself.
