Currently looking at planning our network in terms of fibre and HFC networks. Day to day role includes looking and maps and planning best routes, also costing routes in the most beneficial way.
Yes, able to confidently use different tools to plan routes, cost routes, and liaise with different departments in doing so. This has given me a lot of progress and experience moving forward into gaining a qualification and also pushing my career prospects.
I enjoy the learning aspects of the qualification as it can be used across many aspects of the whole business. this ensures I can deal with many situations, and be able to communicate well with different sectors.
I feel valued everyday, the benefits we are given are excellent at it really shows how much we mean to the company. We are given chances to do things that you wouldn't normally get the chance to do in many other jobs, and that makes it really stand out for me.
Its structured in a way that makes it easy to pick and learn vital bits of information. Support is present throughout this process from our apprentice managers, who go out of there way to ensure we have everything we need.
Maximum support is given from our trainers, to ensure they give us the best experience we can get. They are a true credit to the company and this should be noted at a high level.
The employer provided us with the tools to attend various training events whether that be in the form of hire cars, train tickets or accommodation.
It meets my cost just, I was apprehensive at first to take on the apprenticeship having a new-born baby boy and a 6 year old girl but I was pleased with the salary offer, and the progression on this that I could make once complete.
Yes, we are able to attend various ITP events that give us an insight into how other companies work, and also see things that aren't always publically available.
