  • I really enjoy the programme, from day 1 I felt looked after as we were treated very well with our training staying away from home. In my local teams, my mentors are very supportive and look out for me.

  • I feel very valued at Virgin media as we are looked after very well when we have to travel for training courses. We have regular conference calls with our manager to discuss how our week has gone and to touch base generally. If we do well on certain projects then we are rewarded.

  • If I have any concerns then I can either call my apprentice manager or email him to discuss something. If the question is more technical then I can discuss this with my technical trainer. I know both of these people are only a phone call or email away.

  • There is a brathay programme running that I could've gotten on. I can see on the works homepage that there is often fun events or opportunities to volunteer. In our area every couple of months the teams like to go for a meal out together with I really enjoy and appreciate.

  • 9. Would you recommend Virgin Media O2 to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Really supportive throughout the programme and the job itself is very good in my opinion. Lots of opportunities to meet new people and opportunities to work hard to earn a good salary.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Virgin Media O2?
  • Really go for it in the assessments, don't sell yourself short. The company really likes to see people going above and beyond, not just fitting into the background. The "big scary managers" that I saw at my assessment day are actually just human beings and all seems really friendly, caring and supportive once you break down that initial awkward wall.
