As a network planning apprentice for Virgin Media every day is different. When I get in I turn on my computer and head over to my work stack and see what needs to be done for the day then I set myself targets on what I need to finish by the end of the day.
I have learnt a couple of new skills whilst I have been working for virgin media, one of these being NRSWA this is a road safety course that has aided some of my work already
I enjoy the programme very much, everyday is different and unique. I love working in my office and the team that I work with are full of enthusiasm.
I feel that I am very valued, my manager and the people around him not only make me feel value but also make everything feel valued. My manager considers everyone equal.
The programme is well structured and there is never an overflow of work. The work is every manageable and nothing is too hard, there is also a lot of support within the programme.
My tutor provides me and the others on the programme with me lots of support no matter if its something that I would deem as a stupid question.
My employer gives me lots of support from equipment to guiding me through processes and how to company works, also the attitude towards support is very good and everybody wants to help everybody.
I would like for the salary to be a bit higher as I have to travel a while to get to work and I have to pay a lot of money out of my monthly salary for fuel.
There are lots of opportunities with the company, we are always pushed to do some kind of volunteer work as not only will it benefit us but it will also make the programme look good.
Yes
I would recommend Virgin Media to a friend as from the 7 months I have been here I haven't regretted working here at all, the people make it great and so do management.
When applying just be yourself don't try and be someone you're not, if you do that then they will just look straight through you and see that you are pretending.
