My role is a junior trainee accountant and I assist the seniors on a day to day basis helping create accounts. I am always given help whenever ask and the managers are all very friendly.
I have developed my IT skills a lot especially with excel and new software that I haven't used before. I also knew very little about accounting and now feel like I know a lot.
I enjoy my programme as it helps me to become a chartered accountant in the quickest time possible while getting assisted along the way
I feel like I am an important part of the team as we all have different roles. For example my charge out rate is cheap so without me they would struggle to keep costs down
My programme is very structured for day 1 and has stayed consistently organised throughout. Everything is booked for me such as my exams which makes it very easy.
Often I do the work independently when out of college so I do not need much support. However in college they are willing to help as much as possible.
They give me as much support as I ask for. I try to be as independent as I can but they will always assist me if I have any problems
The firm pays for my education so I do not have any costs apart from travel. My salary is a lot higher than expected so I cannot complain at all.
Once I finish my education I will have all the opportunities I want as I will become fully chartered. I have not considered anything else at the moment.
Yes
They have great policies such as focusing on clients and improving technology. They are well known and give you all the support that you need.
When at the interview just be yourself and be calm as they are very relaxed and it is more like a conversation. If you think you aren't good enough still apply as BDO are very accomidating
