Job as a network engineer. I work on a computer looking at data and ordering jobs to openreach. I work in a busy office with around 100 people on the same floor who are doing similar work to me. I am responsible for ordering the work fro oepnreach depending on what we need to do to improve the network. The work comes from the whole sale side of this as we are improving the network for them. it is BT TSO I work for which is a noun profit part of BT.
I have been on a IT and network professionals BTEC course where I have finished all of my work. I have been on a leadership course which worked with BT and the 81 signal squadron from the army. to help improve decision making, working as a team, leading and more.
I enjoy it because the people I work with are great. The work is not that good as is repetitive and only shows you a small section or the process. Bt is a great company and working for them is good as they have lots of perks. I feel that is met my expectations and I do enjoy it.
I feel like my manager is good and understands a lot. the internal recognition in BT is ok but could be improved although not sure how. I feel that I am valued within my role.
The building does not quite know how to handle the apprentices so have thrown them to a job. Which is good because they have no the job training which I find better but they didn't quite know if we should be moved about and was not very structured. good introduction because the team is friendly. training on the job poor. Good support from people.
Lots as it is a big company and there is a buddy stem in place and good managers.
lots from the following: manager, HR team, mentor and help from the team.
I have a mortgage and bills so I need more money compared to others.
some but I don't really know of that many.
Yes
Good money and opportunity's to move up the ladder if you wanted to.
