I work in Wealth and Asset management in assurance and my daily task involve interacting with clients either through email or face to face if I am on client site, within the team I am in im responsible for the audit of a fund, I set up the schedules, carry out the testing and email clients for any outstanding work.
I have enhanced my knowledge as well as my own life skills since being here. If I put in the work I will finish this scheme as a fully qualified accountant with 5 years industry experience and all paid for. Internally I absorb as much information for my team members who are more than willing to pass or there knowledge. There are also regular training sessions that are based either near to the office or out of London which both are nice.
I really enjoy my career and this job has exceeded my expectations with a good balance of work and social. the team I work with are all friendly and very approachable and will always take time out to guide you on any problems
I feel very valued at EY especially have such a strong team around me to work with that are concerned with your development as well as there own.
I think the plan is well organised. it allows for people to pass the qualification at a good pace without putting to much pressure on people or dragging out the scheme for too long
You always have the opportunity to reach out to your tutor for any questions all though I haven't personally as you've got all the study material you need with you provided by the college
massive amounts of support. Managers are very understanding if you want some time off for holiday also they are always a friendly face in the office that want to check up on you with how you are getting on. We also have counsellors that are there to solve any problems you may have in the work place or just catch up with on your progress
The salary could be a bit higher as we do have more expenses as well get older and travelling in to the city amounts up at the end of the year. I think they should consider adding a subsidy in to people that have to travel in from long distances as they don't get to benefit as much.
There are loads of clubs that you can join outside of EY, there are loads of sporting clubs and social clubs such as the womens network. there are also a lot of team drinks and socials to go to as well as an incredible Christmas party.
Yes
The skills gained and the path created for your career are so beneficial and to be with a firm that cares a lot about your personal development is excellent. I've recommended it to many people who I know would greatly benefit from this scheme.
Dress presentable and be yourself through out the process.
