Job Title - Audit Associate Daily Tasks - Numerous tasks, some examples include performing walkthroughs, test of controls and completing leadsheets. Interact with the client almost everyday to request and chase on any pending requests.
I have learnt many new skills and have developed my existing skills. One of the most used skill in my day to day job is team work, I work very closely with my audit team everyday and have to communicate with them for any tasks they have for me.
I very much enjoy as I get to learn new content and experience each day. I work on a variety of different tasks which equip me with new skills and make me much more knowledgeable.
I feel very much valued as EY is very flexible and the people are honestly very very nice and kind. They will go out of the way to help you and not only that but EY arranged and organises many events for the SL programme employees.
The programme is well structured. I know when my college is and on what clients I am booked on and where I need to be. The induction and the training which we have has been very helpful for us to settle in at EY smoothly from school I have a mentor and a buddy assigned who help me with any issues I have.
As mentioned earlier, I have a mentor and a buddy who help me and guide me with any question/issues I have. I love the fact that you have a buddy so that you can ask any informal or silly questions you may have.
The team at EY is extremely helpful, they take their time out to teach you and guide you which is brilliant. I am able to ask as many questions as I want without the fear of being judged because all my seniors happily answer all my questions and encourage me to do so.
Although salary is not something I had as a priority when choosing which firm to go for, but I believe that EY has one of the highest pay for the SL programme compared to the other Big 4 which is great. I live with my parents so I do not incur any living costs, however EY does not reimburse for your daily commute which is understandable.
Plenty! There are many opportunities and activities you can take part in, IF you are willing to put in your time, effort and enthusiasm!
