Job Title - Associate. On a daily basis I will work on various different clients and with various different people. I have many different responsibilities which are normally allocated on a weekly basis. I will engage with between 1-4 members of the client team on a daily basis. I audit different parts of a companys financial statements.
I have passed my first ICAS exam. I am developed interpersonal skills, confidence, communication and excel/word skills. I have already been on 4 training courses since starting 10 months ago.
Great culture to work in, great people and nice environemnts. Always friendly despite the challenging work and tough deadlines at times.
Very much so, you feel part of the team and do proper work - not just the tea boy.
Very well, you know who to go to for questions. Well resourced in this sense, lots of training lots of coaching on top of a through induction.
ICAS learning-EY support team available. Learn most on the job from experience auditors who are always keen to help. Great attitude to coaching.

I live at home, first year salary is enough to live on but I could not afford to live in Edinburgh.

It is a great place to work, great advantage is ICAS even if you don't want to be at EY forever you can leave once you are qualified.
Be confident and set yourself plenty of time for the application. Don't apply if you are not willing to fully commit to the application progress because it is not an easy progress.
