I work in the corporate online department for Lloyds banking group. I deal with corporate clients looking to set up online banking for there business. I set them up on a new site or make any amendments or cancellations to there site when required. I work within a team of 12 people but also deal with key stakeholders on a daily basis. I only deal with internal colleagues/teams within Lloyds banking Group. I am also responsible for doing the teams workflow each morning. This is calculating the volumes of work coming into the team and updating necessary managers and keep them updated throughout the day of the teams work progress.
I have been trained on the new online platform for Lloyds banking group and learnt all the new processes. I have also developed my Admin skills for example filing files, using excel/Powerpoint and also adapting to different systems I use.
I really enjoy what I do. I feel I have a very good understanding of our team and its processes. I always exceed my daily expectations of the workload I turn over. I also feel Lloyds is a good company to work for as it treats all colleagues fairly and with respect.
I do feel valued by LBG as there is a lot of recognition of colleagues across the company. Especially when you have done well it is always recognised and often rewarded.
The induction was very thourough and gave me a good idea of exactly what my apprenticeship entails. I don't have allocated time to study for my apprenticeship however I know if I need time out to do this my manager is supportive. My mentor also keeps me updated via email with next session plans and future visits.
I have an assessor who comes to visit me on a monthly basis who assesses my progress and provides an support I may require to help complete my apprenticeship. I was also provided with workbooks and plenty of links to sites with helpful information.
I don't have allocated time slots to study however if I need time to study or complete my workbook my manager supports this by giving me time out the team. My manager is also very supportive when my assessor comes to visit.
I get the train to work every day and including living costs, travel costs and social costs I feel my Salary just meets it but could be a little more.
Each colleague of LBG get a day out the business called 'Day to make a Difference' which you can volunteer at a charity or do volunteer work for the day. Also I have been given the opportunity of going out to high schools with my manager to do careers fairs with students and parents. I have also been given the opportunity to speak at networking events when my area held an open house.
Yes
I think it is a very good company to work for the respect there colleagues and there is always new opportunities and openings and feel there is a lot of room for you to progress.
I would tell them to think outside the box and be confident. There is always job openings at Lloyds and a simple google search takes you direct to applications. I also would advise them to try the quiz on LBG website which based on their answers and interests point out job roles which would suit them that they may never of thought of.
