My role is an assistant tax advisor, handling London based FTSE350 clients on a day-to-day basis. I advise clients on corporate tax matters and international tax matters where necessary.
Yes - On the job training is regularly provided, alongside third party training co-ordinated by Kaplan for professional studies.
Enjoy the programme very much, consistently meeting new people and gaining new skills. A great overall experience and great opportunity.
valued - I am always checked upon by my personal counsellor who ensures that I am getting on ok and do not feel over worked. Furthermore the team always ensures we are well (in all aspects).
Structured, however could be better structured. The programme is spread over 5 years however the time inbetween exams is not necessary, and the programme is purely spread over 5 years for the sake of ensuring the time-period is 5 years, as opposed to the course actually requiring that amount of time. However the exams are well supported and we are trained adequately.
A lot of support both on the job and studying. We can contact our tutor via e-mail, phone or in person to ask questions.
On the job training and support is always provided - all are given personal counsellors to who individual issues may be raised where necessary. Overall very much supported.
Meets costs but does not exceed them - considering that the work undertaken is the same as those on the grad scheme, the salary package should not differ, in my opinion.
Yes - many social teams and social events within the firm. I am apart of the EY basketball club / team and regularly train with other members of the firm.
Yes
Very much supported by the firm in all aspects of work and also supported outside of work with my social roles / hobbies. Great place to work with huge diversity
Be yourself; EY values diversity and there is not a better place to work! The application process is tough but not impossible, hard work and good prep goes a long way. You are provided with support throughout the process.
